"Great dial-up service"
By Joe, Grand Rapids, MI
My cable modem ISP was down for a week, and NetZero saved my butt.
I invest on-line, I bank on-line, my wife does some work from home
in the evenings and on weekends, etc. What the heck was I going to
do without Internet service? A friend offered me the use of her connection
to download NetZero. I downloaded it, installed it, and was back on-line
in a few minutes, although at a dial-up rate, not a cable modem rate.
During 8 days of outage, I never got a single busy signal and I never
had a dropped connection. The truth is, I am completely jaded by the
cable modem, and suffering along at dial-up speeds really hurt, but
NetZero Platinum is a great choice for dial-up service. I'd definitely
switch if I were still using AOL.

load faster on future visits. 4. Has NetZero other than
HiSpeed 3G option at this time?
Yes, they have NetZero Platinum option. It cost $6.95/Month too,
but you don't have to pay for 1 year. (It's less than 1/2 the cost of
AOL, EarthLink or MSN. Really low cost internet service with yearly savings
of $168 when compared to AOL!). Also there is NetZero Family Pack
with $4.95/Month price and some restrictions.

†† NetZero HiSpeed 3G accelerates
certain web page text and graphics when compared to standard dial-up
Internet service. Actual results may vary. Some web pages such as
secure or encrypted web pages will not be accelerated. NetZero HiSpeed
3G is not a broadband service and actual data transmission rates are
not faster than standard dial-up Internet service. Transmission of

dial-up service. NetZero High Speed 3G may not be compatible with
proxy based software or services such as content filters or firewalls.
NetZero HiSpeed is only compatible with Platinum service and specified
browsers. Not available for Mac.
